Abigail Newlon
Yoga & Running Coach
Abigail (Abi) Newlon is a Chicago-based running coach, dancer, and movement specialist who helps athletes build strength, endurance, and joy in running. A Midwest native, Abi found running during the pandemic, embracing it as a holistic movement practice that later became a passion for distance running, marathons, and relays.
With dual degrees in Political Science and Dance from Loyola University Chicago, Abi has spent over seven years teaching movement to children and adults. She combines her pedagogy, kinesiology, and injury prevention expertise with her RRCA Level 1 Coaching Certification and 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training to create well-rounded training experiences for runners of all backgrounds.
Abi views running as a path to strength, self-discovery, and joy. She combines breathwork, strength, and mobility training to help athletes run efficiently, prevent injuries, and build resilience. With experience in marathon and relay race training, including Hood to Coast and REACH Relay, she understands endurance racing demands and tailors strategies for peak performance. Drawing from her background in dance, yoga, and kinesiology, Abi refines running mechanics. It fosters a well-rounded, mindful approach to training—helping athletes train smarter, gain confidence, and enjoy the journey.
