Nate Holley

Running Coach

Nate Holley is a native of the Chicagoland area, having grown up in the city’s south suburbs. He started running by running his local 5k. He then competed in the Hershey Track and Field games in the 800 and 1600, which led him to run XC and Track at Marian Catholic High School.

Following a successful high school career, Nate ran at North Central College under USATFCCCA Hall of Fame coach Al Carius from 2015 to 2019. Inspired by Al's motto, "Run for fun and personal bests," he served as an assistant cross country coach at Kishwaukee Community College, where two of his athletes qualified for the national cross country meet. After a brief hiatus from coaching, Nate was one of the coaches at Heartbreak Hill Running Company, where he and the other coaches fostered a welcoming and encouraging environment for heartbreakers.

Having recently completed his USATF Level 1 Coaching Certification, Nate strives to apply what he learned from running at the collegiate level and his prior coaching experience at Inner Lane to help athletes achieve personal bests.
